A camera bag + backpacker bag possible as hand carry on easyJet?

I'm off on a two way trip to Valencia from London, and vice versa. I have about 3 or 4 cameras I would like to bring around in my Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home (safe for the cameras!), but it will not fit in my Deuter Futura 38 AC (backpacker bag). I'm not considering hold baggage at all as I will be travelling around Europe. Also, horror stories about lost baggage do not inspire my confidence in easyJet. I am also not considering packing my cameras in the Deuter as I would need a carry around bag when taking photographs, and most of my cameras are old and fragile - hence the need for safety and security in a proper camera bag.

I need to bring both bags. Will easyJet let me bring on both bags if I strap in the Crumpler to my backpack, much like how strapping in a sleeping bag would look? Does anyone have any experience with this? Or any suggestions?

Thanks!

As long as it is just one piece of luggage and not over big, nor over heavy, EasyJet is not going to protest.
What over-big and over heavy are is up to the check-in desk people, but if you can carry it as if it has no weight they do not put it on the scales.
Over-big is an harder one, as you are not going to hide the size from eyeball inspection.
The biggest I have seen accepted as hand luggage is about twice the size of those in-flight cases, but that might have been on an half empty flight.

If I were you I would spell out the EasyJet website for the latest info, they do have a lot of useful info.
In case of need, check in your clothes and keep the cameras as hand luggage, they do not loose that much luggage, not more than other airlines, it is the airports that loose the luggage.

And remember not to put anything sharp, pointy or liquid in your luggage if you want to carry it on board.

They say half of your sleeping system at camp is the sleeping bag and the other half is the camping mattress. Without these two essential camping gear, you might end up having trouble going to sleep.

We know that sleep is very important when you're backpacking because you need energy to get through the next grueling hike with a heavy load on your back. The right sleeping bag and camping mattress can help you sleep well at night.

Even if you're not backpacking, if you don't have enough sleep at camp how are you going to enjoy the day's activities? What's different is that you're not worried about weight when you're packing your sleeping gear.

When choosing a sleeping bag, one of the first thing you'd want to know is the temperature rating. Can it keep you warm where you intend to go or will it be too hot? The temperature rating is based on a lot of assumptions so choose a bag that has a lower temperature rating than you anticipate since a sleeping bag that's too warm poses little danger.

Whether you choose a down bag or a synthetic one depends much on your budget. Down sleeping bags are more compact, lighter, warmer and more comfortable than synthetic sleeping bags but they're also a lot more expensive.

One other advantage that synthetic sleeping bags have over down ones is that they still retain some insulation when wet and they're very easy to dry and maintain. Even though they're easy to take care of they don't last as long as a well maintained down sleeping bag.

A rectangular synthetic bag is commonly used for car camping or base camping but they're too bulky for backpacking. Serious backpackers usually go for down sleeping bags even though they're expensive.

Another important thing to consider when choosing a sleeping bag is to make sure that it fits. Try it out in the store if possible.

If you're in cold territory, the sleeping bag won't be enough to keep you warm. You also need a camping mattress for ground insulation because the bag becomes ineffective when it is compressed by the weight of your body.

Closed-cell foam pads are the best insulators and are very light but they lack cushion which makes uncomfortable for many people. Many backpackers go for self-inflating pads because they're comfortable and warm yet not too heavy.
