Tattoo ideas! Memorial for my grandfather.?
My grandfather died 2 months ago of cancer. He loved life and I was his favorite grandaughter. He was also really religious and very in love with his wife. He retired before I was born so his job wasn't a big part of his life, used to work front desk at a retired veteran's building. His mind used to wander a little and he couldn't hear very well. He didn't have a phrase or saying and he did have a knickname for me but so does the rest of the family, however he was the one that used it the most. When he was a little kid his parents died and he had to live with his aunt who raised him and they were very poor. Family was the MOST important thing in his life.
I don't want a portrait or the family crest. Any ideas? I'm not very creative and I've been racking my brain for ideas but can't seem to come up with anything useful. Please help!
ANY and ALL ideas welcome.
i know ppl that have these kind of tats one person has a set of praying hands wit his brothers name and birth and death dates.another person has a cross with the same thing on it,i think its all up to you on how you want to remeber your grandfather

Many of us had parents which were in their 20s when we were born, and we now realize that we were pretty stupid in our 20s, so we probably shouldn't blame our parents for anything. In the United States it seems that 20-year-olds are hardly capable of raising children, or are mature enough to make the important decisions that families need to make.
Worse, many of the parents at this age are not even ready for a steady relationship such as a marriage. This is where all the problems start.
Perhaps, we need to rethink as a society what the best age to bear children is, and then educate our young people to make their life plans around that optimal age. Parents which are too old can cause genetic defects in their children. Parents that are too young, make very lousy parents.
We all know this to be true, but perhaps we can come to some happy medium and work to encourage the most number of people wishing to have kids to better plan their childbearing years.
When babies are born they don't come with instruction manuals, and until people have lived at least 30 years or longer they probably don't understand much about what it takes to raise a child correctly. This is not the case for everyone, as many people grow up in very solid families.
However, if someone in their early 20s that comes from a dysfunctional family, or comes from a culture that does not have strong family roots, it can be quite problematic if their child is born during this time period.
Maybe, we need a national discussion on this topic, and without setting up any rules or government intervention on reproductive life, we ought to at least come to some understanding and give proper advice to future young parents. After all, if the society has to pay for the children in the event that the parents become failures, then it becomes our responsibility as a whole.
And it's not that I personally believe that the government should pay for any of this, but since they already are, maybe we need to think about this from a taxpayer's standpoint. I shouldn't have to pay for parental stupidity! Please consider all this.
