Where can I find out how to make my own plastic/plush toys?

i'm curious as to how i go about actually making prototypes of toys, plastic figurines or plush. and hopefully selling them online at a site or two. my inspiration for this: Ugly Dolls, Kid Robot, Happy Tree Friends... etc etc
