1993 Beanie Baby? Need Help!?
I have a Ty beanie baby. It has a tag that says it was made in 1993. It does not have a name and I haven't been able to find it anywhere. The tag is a deep red and specifically says : Copyright 1993 TY INC. Oakbrook, IL, U.S.A. Surface Washable All New Material Polyester Fiber REG. NO PA-1965(KR).
It looks like it may be either some type of cat (lion, cougar) or maybe a bear? It is light brown and has a white-tipped tail and one ear is white. Around the mouth is white also. The eyes are green.
The other thing is that it is not filled with the "beans" like most. It's just plush and the limbs are "movable".
Does anyone have any idea what this could be exactly?
It's probably an attic treasure. Back in the day my family used to collect them. A picture could help jog my memory.
Waterbeds have been popular for many years now, because they provide such a restful night of uninterrupted sleep. Back in the'70s when these beds first gained momentum on the American market, people rushed to buy them. It was just so different from the same old innerspring mattresses that everyone was used to. Even though a lot of different kinds of beds have been developed in the years since then, waterbeds have remained popular.
There have been a lot of changes made in waterbeds since they were first introduced, too. The very early ones were nothing but big bags of water which rippled with waves every time someone moved. Now they are made with much more comfort in mind. Water is a substance with a lot of "give", and the bed will mold to the contours of your body. You will find that it's like being enveloped in a cloud, and you'll absolutely hate getting out of bed in the morning, because you're so comfortable in bed.
Waterbeds are now being designed to be waveless. The sleep quality you will get with one of the new models is far-improved from the old waterbeds you remember. Waterbeds promise to improve your sleep so that you will have maximum energy and overall better health.
One thing you need to keep in mind is that there is some maintenance you'll have to do to take care of your waterbed; however, it isn't a very demanding job when all is said and done. Besides, when you realize what a euphoric night of sleep the bed will give you, you won't mind the maintenance at all.
There are a lot of websites dedicated to providing you with the waterbed parts and supplies you need, and their prices are generally better than those you can find in stores. Some of the items these bedding stores sell include waterbed heating units, drain and fill kits, bed frames, and headboards. You will find that many of the items available will be extremely useful if you install and maintain the bed yourself.
The bedding websites also provide many choices of sheets, quilts, decorative pillows, and even matching towels for your master bath. Once the bed is installed, you can have a good time making it plush and luxurious.
By taking good care of your waterbed and performing the routine maintenance jobs as directed, you'll find that a waterbed will outlast most regular mattresses. You will be able to purchase the parts and supplies you will need to keep it in top working order so that it will give you many years of the best sleep around.
