the rhythm, meter,harmony, tempo, dynamics, mood of Handel "for unto us a child is born"?
I'm a music major, I should know most of this is that the mood should really be a joyous mood....if you look at the words, that's what Handel was looking to do, celebrate the birth.
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulder. And his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace."
That's definetly something to celebrate.
As far as dynamics, I've always heard it and performed it with accents on the the part where you sing "Wonderful" "Counselor" and so on....
harmony is something trickier....I'm sure you'd be able to find a book with the harmonies written out...it's hard to describe online.
As for the rhythm, assuming I remember correctly, I want to say the rhythm was pretty straight forward...nothing much trickier than a dotted eigth-sixteenth rhythm...and that's fairly easy.
Meter....gosh, I can't remember off the top of my head, but I want to say it's in 4/4 time....I may be wrong....that's something you'll have to look up.
