Little China Doll
so frail, so delicate,
the purest form of beauty
to be treated with tender hands,
and an adoring heart.
a gift, gentle as a lamb
with perfect blinking eyes
and perfect rosy cheeks
unspoilt, unmarked
They have their own labels
“handle with care”
“fragile item” and still-
warnings fall upon deaf ears
And they’re easily broken.
