Will my friend be entitled to a state pension?

My friend retires next year having worked hard she has saved up £240,000.00 I have heard because of this she won't get a state pension if this is true anyone know a way thatshe can keep her money and get the state pension?

She will get the full state pension if she has paid the full contributions. If she has paid only part she will only get part. Additional years when she may not have paid due to caring for say a child or possible other dependant may entitle her to add those years (or some of them) to her contribution record. All of this is independent of savings, etc.
On that level of saving it is unlikely that she will get the means tested credits which give some exemption from local authority taxes, etc.

Many seniors choose to join membership in different associations, such as the National Senior Golf Association. If you want to travel, you can leave whenever you would like, and you won't have to worry about finding someone to mow your lawn, rake your leaves or water your flowers.
