What would Teddy's life have been like if he were a poor black man and he killed someone while driving drunk?

Could he still have been a Senator? Would he be remembered as a hero for democrats?

You and I both know liberals will forgive their heroes of any immoral action.

Ted said he wasn’t drinking, wasn’t trying to have sex with Mary Jo Kopechne, and that he was just dropping her at the ferry so she could go to her hotel. If these were true statements then why:

Wasn’t he driving towards the ferry?

Had the last ferry already left the island?

Did he say she was going back to her hotel but she didn’t tell her girlfriends or anyone else and she left her purse AND hotel key at party?

Did he ask for the keys instead of a ride when he had a sober chauffeur at the party?

Did a police officer see a car that fit his description, matched several letters and numbers on the license plate, and had a man driving with a female passenger parked in a cemetery near the bridge before they sped off as he approached the car?

Didn’t he call the police even though there was a house with a light on just 150 feet away?

Did he tell his friends not to call the police or tell Mary Jo Kopechne’s girlfriends?

Did he swim 500 feet across a channel to go to his hotel and sleep?

Did he call the hotel manager to complain about “party noises” awakening him right after he arrived at the hotel?

Didn’t he tell the police until after he was aware that her body was discovered?

He claimed he wasn’t drinking despite being an alcoholic at a party, late at night, with young girls?

Tell your child that once he/she has learned how to use the potty chair they can go to the store to get themselves their very own teddy. Be careful though, they may want to make their very own bear.  If you are planning on hosting a party, teddy bears are a great baggie gift. Go to your local dollar store and pick up a couple. You may even want to try making wax dipped teddy bears as a prize for one or two games. Whatever the event is, teddy bears are great to pass out.
