Is it possible to be breast feeding and on the mini-pill and still get pregnant?
I had my daugher a little over 3 months ago. I'm breast feeding and on the mini-pill. I've been on the mini-pill since right after she was born and since have had a period every two weeks. I am past the two weeks now (more like over 3)and have not had a period yet. (Mind you, these are 3 to 4 days of bleeding and not a full blown period like when you are on a real pill) But I'm afraid I'm pregnant again. I missed one pill awhile ago (but waited the full 48 hours before intercourse) However, I did sometime back miss the pill by a few hours.
Did you get pregnant while on the mini-pill and breast feeding? What did you feel like...how did you find out? I will be testing in a few days if my period doesn't come, but just would like to know your experiences. Thanks.
Breast feeding is definately not a way to prevent pregnancy and there are plenty of women out there who became pregnant on birth control pills...It's the reason I'm an aunty in fact. Also it may just be your hormones are still out of whack and are trying to get back to a normal schedule. The only way for sure to know is to get a test done. Good luck!
