Mattel Dolls
Barbie will be fifty years in 2009. I hope everything was good after half a century! Ah, so they had a lot of plastic surgery in recent years.
The first Barbie was made by Mattel in 1959 and since then, millions have been sold worldwide. His official birthday is March 9, 1959, when it was exhibited at New York Toy Fair. She wore a black and white zebra striped one piece swimsuit, high heels open, pending and white ring glasses with blue lenses. She is blond or brown hair in a ponytail at the back. A white lilies and arched eyebrows. Plastic is a tendency to disappear, and often a target now. It has holes in feet for mounting on a pedestal and copper tubing in the legs. It is marked on Japan off his right foot. In the back is marked Barbie TM countries. Pend. Copyright MCMVIII. Find them in good shape and has a dream of waste going to pay a little money. The exact value depends heavily on state data. Damage or missing pieces severely cut his wrist. It is known Barbie as the tail # 1 horse.
The Ponytail Barbie # 2 is identical to # 1, except that there are no holes in the feet and no copper. The base is made with extensions to support it. It marks the same as # 1.
The # 3 Ponytail Barbie is the same as # 2 except the blue irises and eyebrows different. This Barbie blue or brown eyeliner.
The # 4 Ponytail Barbie is made of a type of plastic that does not fade and keeps its original color. It is made with blue eyeliner.
The Barbie # 5 ponytail has a hollow plastic instead of solid body of previous editions. The marks are similar, but is now marked Pats R. Pend. instead of TM Country. Pend. A new hair color known as Titian, was introduced and the doll with color hair are rare and more valuable than the blonde or brunette. There was a problem with the plastic in some of these dolls that gives oily appearance. If you find one with the face mat of origin is more valuable than fat "a" doll face.
The # 6 Ponytail Barbie has a different vinyl that does not turn into fat over time. Her nails are pink and red lips instead of bright red before. She is a swimsuit and red open-shoes tip.
The # 7 Barbie was made in several colors, including lemon blond hair, ash Titian blonde and brown. His fingernails and lips in orange, red (coral). This change has occurred in the period 1962-1963 and the brand became Midge TM copyright 1962/Barbie copyright 1958 by Mattel. Dolls with this new brand is known as # 7 Barbie in general, but some still call # 6. Dolls produced in 1962, before the transition is more rare and valuable the new edition.
Assessing the state of Barbie doll collection is the most important factor. A doll that is complete, intact and own will get a higher price. If the doll is mint in the original packaging is very convenient for collectors and will be priced accordingly. Dolls that have been restored or painted with a lower value if left in their original condition disappeared.
Where can I buy Barbie dolls collection of age? Well anywhere if you know what you are looking for. Most people are fully aware of what an old Barbie doll is or could be worth good money. You can find watching occasional garage sales, flea markets and thrift stores or second hand. Take your magnifying glass over when to go treasure hunting for you to read the marks on his wrists. Good luck.

There were 6 of them. I remember two names-Brock and Tori. There were 2 different sets of these dolls (both had the same name, just different costumes. They even had a series of books on dolls. And there was a kind of theater that you could buy was her high school.
This was also the generation of Barbie Girl. Both sets were Dance Party and my room.
