Hollywood Themed Room - Wall Color Suggestions Please!?

I am redecorating my room with a Hollywood theme. My plans so far are the following:

- Classic Hollywood photographs/posters (Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, I love Lucy show, so on)
- Props such as - 80's phone, cameras.
- Fuax Fox Fur
- Photographs of landmarks (NYC, Hollywood, London, Paris)
- Make up Mirror with glamorous brush and comb set)
- pinup dolls
- murals

I am planning on everything being black&white but need a wall color.

I really LOVE red and was thinking a red color would be awesome and goes well with black&white.

The red will be more of a burgandy color.

The only problem is that I feel like black&white photographs will not pop out enough because the color of the wall will be too dark?

What do you guys think about the red on the walls?

ANY other color suggestions will be appreciated!
