What happened to the american girl doll Samantha?

She isn't in the catalog or on the website. If she was discontinued does anyone know why?

She was retired early this year to make room for the new doll, Rebecca. It's a shame that they retired her, I really liked her. But, they had too sooner or later or else there would be too many dolls. They also wanted to add new stuff to their historical line.

Girls camps have come a long way since the 1940's, and today's camps offer the amenities that girls have grown accustomed to, like television, video games and arcade games.

Outdoor recreation activities include everything from tennis and volleyball to horseshoes and shuffleboard. In some areas of the country, many girls take care of animals while at camp.
