An oak barrel with a lid of area 0.20 m2 is filled with water. A long, thin tube of cross-sectional area 5.0 X 10-5 m2 is inserted into a hole at the center of the lid, and water is poured into the tube.
When the water reaches 12 m high, the barrel bursts.
What was the weight of the water in the tube?
What was the pressure of the water on the lid of the barrel? What was the net force on the lid due to the water pressure?

where the oak barrel is a cylinder:
to get the weight, multiply 12*(the area-area of the tube)*density of water
p1v1t1=p2v2t2 to get the pressure of the water, where p1 is atmospheric, however you need to know how tall the barrel is to do this
p2*the area of the lid to get the pressure on the top

True love is something that many people consider elusive. Together they were an unstoppable acting and attention-generating machine that we thought would last forever as they hurdled obstacle after obstacle. They are now married again, to different partners though they insist they have nothing but genuine respect for each other.
- Bruce Willis and Demi Moore: Yes, it's a fact that even the long Hollywood marriages with kids can and do end in splitsville.
