Do you think barbie dolls are fading away??
Ever since the new fashion-obsessed BRATZ dolls appeared on the scene, it seems that barbies have become less popular with girls. I used to play with barbies when i was young.
The first time i layed eyes on a bratz doll was when my 11 year old daughter was given one back in 2002 for her birthday. Since then, she has been obsessed with those dolls and now owns dozens of them and so does my younger daughter who is 7 years old. Infact they hate barbies and think they are ugly and boring. So do you think that barbies are fading out??
Yes, I believe Barbies are fading out. The number of new Barbies seems to be decreasing dramatically. There are very few for sale in the stores in my home town. I recently had a few Barbies in mint or near mint condition in a garage sale. The only ones I could sell were $1. The mint condition ones that were originally $40-$50 and priced at $5 did not sell. Sad because Barbie has been such a classic for play and collecting.
