I need to find an old 1940's plastic doll?

Okay so my whole life my grandmother has talked about how at the fair once she won her first plastic doll in the 1940's. She was so happy and afterwards when her cousin came over the cousin put the doll on the stove and melted it right in front of her. My grandma admits that it makes her cry when she thinks about it and I wanted to find that doll for her.

The doll was plastic. It had blondish hair and its skin was light pink. She says that the doll didn't have synthetic hair or clothing. Instead it had hair and clothes painted onto the body just like clothes. The dress the doll had was hot pink. So basically the entire doll was pink. She said the blonde hair was like a dark blonde not normal blonde. It couldn't have been more than about 10 inches I assume and I was wondering if anyone knew where i could find one.
