If a girl fits into a XL in American Eagle clothes, then can she fit into a XL in Hollister clothes?

I am buying a present for a girl I know and she told me her size in American Eagle clothing. Now the question is, is if she can fit into the PC Highway Fleece size XL at Hollister. Does anyone that owns one also a size XL in AE clothing that can tell me if it fits them comfortably or a little tight?
She has also bought a sweater from Hollister and she fit into a L. So that makes me think that she may actually fit into a XL.

Hollister runs tight on me. I am XS on AE and S in Hollister. I would see if you could get something in XXL or just get her something from AE because u kno her size there.
