I think ball-joint dolls are pretty cool, but my mom would freak if i wanted to get one (all the ones ive seen are very pricey). what is the very cheapest that i could buy a BJD for?

For bigger sizes, $100 + ship can get you a Barbie sized doll, $130 + ship can get a very pretty 1'5" (43 cm) elf eared doll, and $180 + ship for a 2" (60 cm) doll. If that's still way over your budget, you can look into regular Volks dollfies and Obitsu dolls. They are plastic, jointed, barbie size dolls. For $21 + shipping you could get one, but it wouldn't have a face up or eyes.
