Traditions Doll Collection
I remember playing with dolls when you were a child? If you were like me, had a Barbie doll or two in your toy box. Barbie has been introduced in 1959 by a lady named Ruth Handler (co-founder of Mattel). Ruth named the doll after her own daughter, Barbara. In 1961, Ruth created companion Barbie, Ken Doll, the name of his son. Now, almost half a century later, Barbie is still in the hearts and toy boxes of children (and even adults) everywhere.
Our Children today have more toys than ever. Toys, electronics, video game systems, iPods and computers are only the beginning. Much has changed in the world of toys since we were kids, but one thing has not changed is the simple love of the Barbie doll. Barbie now has new friends, new clothes, new house, and even pet it again 40 years ago. But girls today still enjoy dressing and grooming Barbie to act out his fantasy life during recess.
My grandmother was a seamstress. She sewed beautiful clothes and accessories for my collection of Barbie dolls. He had a suitcase filled with his creations made hand and children in the neighborhood would be more than I can dress the dolls. I loved the choice of fabrics and clothing styles to choose from. Although I did not realize at that time, the clothes they had done for my wrists were better than anything I could buy a store.
As a teenager, I became interested in sewing. Because my grandmother had passed, I to teach myself to sew. I spent hours and hours in front of my Kenmore sewing machine turned into beautiful creations. It came so natural for me. Over the years, I created clothes for my family and me, window dressing and interior decorations. Later, he spent 5 years in preparing to carry alterations to the general public. Then, there are about 10 years, a dear friend gave me the best birthday ... a Barbie doll. Let me tell you, you're never too old to have a Barbie doll!
While going through some old boxes during our last move, I found a box with lots of Barbie clothes my grandmother had done. The discovery inspired me! I want to make new clothing fabrics today for my Barbie doll. What could be better than the doll clothes by hand? They are difficult to find in this day and age because people do not have time to sew as before. When I started to create beautiful clothes, all who saw them wanted to buy, so I added to the online store of craft. I could not believe the response. I received many emails from people who told me stories of their mothers, aunts and grandmothers hands with his doll clothes as a child. Then I knew that the introduction of doll clothes hand made for families today could be the beginning of new traditions and help create beautiful memories and gifts that can be transmitted across generations. In a world where everything is so commercialized, the return sources with Barbie that I recall a wonderful moment in my childhood. Now, to offer this gift to others is a true joy.
Adrienne Hughes, seamstress and author of "Sewing Patterns Defined" lives with her husband and her Yorkshire Terrier in Texas. She has no affiliation with Mattel. She invites you to visit her online Barbie clothing store at http://www.sewingbyadrienne.com

It is a souvenir doll Adorable. Since 1992. I do not know when we do, but we have had in our basement for years. The box is discolored and the front of the box is pretty broken, too. However, the dolls have never been affected and are in great conditon. The back of the box says, "a tradition of collection. A special moment between mother and daughter sensititity extraordinary elegance presented in this special edition of the Collection Series Moments Adorable. The mother and daughter are in fashion love in soft velvet and satin rich. They are truly the perfect gift for any collection of dolls' dolls names are Katherine and Kathy. The doll also all labels, and the box is original. Hope thats enough information about it. Thank you in advance!
I know people who pay at least $ 150.00 for this purpose. Not all collectors know the exact details, but there are serious they would pay big $$$$$ for him.
